Definition
Taikyoku ('First Cause / Grand Ultimate') forms were composed by Gichin Funakoshi and Yoshitaka Funakoshi. Moving along a simple I-shaped embusen floor pattern, novices practice turning, low blocking (Gedan-barai), and straight punching (Chudan-zuki).
