About

Twimyo ap chagi (뛰며앞차기), literally a front kick in flight, is a front kick performed in a jump. In ITF terms, twimyo marks airborne techniques; the striking surface is the ball of the foot, apkumchi. The longer name twimyo ap cha busigi is also used. It differs from the grounded ap chagi in the push-off and jump before the kick. In the ITF curriculum, with the flying turning kick and flying side kick, it is a required one-step sparring technique, ilbo matsogi, at blue belt, 4th kup.
