Quick Facts
About
Nihon nukite (二本貫手), literally a two-finger piercing hand, is a jabbing strike with two extended fingers. Shotokan technique lists describe it as a strike to the opponent's eyes. It is not used in sport kumite: WKF rules ban open-hand attacks to the face because they endanger the opponent's eyesight. In which kata the strike is practiced and who introduced it, we have not been able to document.
