Charyeot (차렷) is the Korean command “attention”, which is also used in the army and at school. The student stands upright with heels together, arms along the body and eyes forward. In taekwondo and other Korean arts it opens and closes training, partner exercises and a match. It is usually followed by the commands gyeongnye, the bow, and junbi, get ready.
