About
Twimyo bandae dollyo chagi, literally flying reverse turning kick, is the jumping version of the bandae dollyo chagi kick in ITF taekwondo. It differs from twimyo dollyo chagi, a flying turning kick, by its opposite, reverse rotation. The club syllabus of Trident TKD already lists the basic, non-jumping bandae dollyo chagi for green tag, 7. kup. At ITF tournaments it is one of the five compulsory techniques of the men's special-techniques category, alongside twimyo nopi ap cha busigi, twimyo dollyo chagi, twio dolmyo yop cha jirugi and twimyo nopi yop cha jirugi; the women's category has three techniques and does not require it. It is judged on whether the striking surface hits a board at the set height and knocks it backward. The kick belongs to the twimyo family of flying kicks, where ITF terminology also places twimyo ap chagi, twimyo nopi chagi, twimyo bituro chagi and twimyo sangbang chagi.
