About
Teisho awase uke, in English palm heel combined block, that is a combined block with the palm heels, is a low block with open hands. The wrists are joined into a fork shape, the palms face downward and the hands press toward the ground. Unlike teisho uke, which is performed with one hand, in teisho awase uke both hands block at the same time with joined wrists. In the Shotokan kata Hangetsu (JKA listing) it is movement 41.
