About
In ITF Taekwon-Do, sonkal nopunde daebi makgi is a guarding block with the knife-hand delivered to head level (nopunde): the main hand guards head and face, the other stays in front of the body, ready for a counterattack. It differs from the middle and low guarding blocks (kaunde and najunde daebi makgi) in height. Kwang-Gae: movement 8 and 9, performed by moving the foot into a rear stance.
