About

Sang palmok makgi (쌍팔목막기), literally block with a pair of forearms, is a block performed with both forearms at the same time. The word sang here means pair, a couple, and the English name is twin forearm block. Unlike the block with a single outer forearm, bakkat palmok makgi, both arms work at once. In ITF taekwondo it already appears in the tul Dan-Gun, in the L-stance on the ninth and eleventh movements. Tang soo do uses the same notation; it is shared Korean terminology.
