About
In ITF Taekwon-Do, opun sonkut tulgi is a thrusting strike (tulgi) with the flat, open fingertips (opun sonkut). Its counterpart is the bent fingertip, dwijibun sonkut. Toi-Gye: both forms meet here — dwijibun sonkut tulgi is movement 2 and 5 to a low level, while opun sonkut tulgi is movement 24 and 27 to a high level (nopunde) from the walking stance gunnun sogi. Also in Kwang-Gae as movement 26 and 30, a high strike while forming a low stance; in Ge-Baek as movement 14 and 15; in Choong-Moo as movement 4.
