About
Hakdari seogi (학다리서기), the crane stance, imitates a crane standing on one leg. The standing leg is bent and the raised leg rests the inner edge of its foot against the inside of the standing knee; the raised knee points forward, not to the side. About 90 % of the weight rests on the standing leg. The stance serves as a setup for a side kick and requires firm balance. In the form Keumgang for 2nd dan, the practitioner, turned sideways, performs the diamond block keumgang makgi in it. Kukkiwon terminology classes it among the seogi stances.
