About

Age tsuki (上げ突き), literally a rising strike, is a punch delivered from low to high, in English a rising punch or uppercut. Shotokan technique lists give it as age zuki. The Kyokushin organization KWF lists it as seiken age tsuki, item number 60 on its list of hand strikes, and teaches it only from 1st dan. In kumite under WKF rules, a tsuki strike to the scoring zone is scored as yuko, one point.
