Biography

Matsuoka Katsunosuke established Shindo Yoshin-ryu in 1864. Integrating Yoshin-ryu, Tenjin Shin'yo-ryu, and kenjutsu, his lineage directly birthed Wado-ryu Karate under Otsuka.
