About Koresh (Tatar Belt Wrestling)
Koresh (or Köräş) is an ancient traditional wrestling sport of the Tatar and Bashkir people. Wrestlers hold their opponent with a firm two-handed grip on a towel tied around their waist. The goal is to lift and throw the opponent over their back without using their legs to kick.
