Circular shield of Scottish warriors. Featured a leather-covered wooden core with brass studs and often a central steel spike up to 20 cm long for surprise thrusts.
About
Strapped to the left forearm, leaving the hand free to hold a Dirk dagger. Used to deflect incoming blades and drive the central spike into the opponent face.
