Definition

The word retzev comes from Hebrew and translates as "continuity" or "flow." In Krav Maga, this principle means that after successfully deflecting an initial attack, the defender must not stop. They must immediately transition into a crushing, uninterrupted sequence of counterstrikes and kicks aimed at the attacker's vital points. The goal is to completely neutralize the threat and deny the attacker any further ability to react. This aggressive approach is essential for surviving a real street confrontation.
