Definition
Prajiad (ประเจียด) is a cloth band that a muay thai fighter ties around the arm above the elbow, usually on one or both arms. An amulet is often sewn into it or the teacher has written protective marks on it. According to a widespread story, warriors used to take a piece of their mother's clothing into battle. Unlike the mongkhon, the fighter wears the prajiad during the fight as well. Foreign schools use it, like the mongkhon, to indicate rank as well.
