About

Yopcha momchoogi, in English side checking kick, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a checking kick directed to the side. The International Taekwon-Do (NZ) dictionary gives the Korean form cha momchugi for the English checking kick, and yop for side. In the tul Moon-Moo it is the first part of movements 50 and 53. Per dotaekwondo.net, it is followed with the same leg by a middle side thrust kick (kaunde yopcha tulgi), in movement 50 with the left leg while blocking with the forearm, in movement 53 with the right.
