About

Yopcha milgi, literally side pushing kick, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a kick to the side, which the English terminology labels as pushing. The ITKD New Zealand technique manual lists it under this name, as does the Trident Taekwon-Do glossary, which adds the alternative spelling mil gi chagi. The kick list of ITF Taekwon-Do Australia lists alongside it the side piercing kick yop cha jirugi and the side thrusting kick yop cha tulgi. In the tul Moon-Moo it is, according to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, movements 31 and 40. In movement 31 the practitioner quickly moves the left foot close behind the right and performs a middle side pushing kick with the right foot; movement 40 is the mirror image, kicking with the left foot.
