About
Yop cha tulgi, in English side thrusting kick, is a side kick in ITF taekwondo; yop means side. The ITF Taekwon-Do Australia overview lists it among kicks separately from the side piercing kick, yop cha jirugi, the two names differing only in the last word. The Slovak tul breakdown uses the spelling yopcha tulgi. In the tul Moon-Moo it is, according to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, the 50th and 53rd movement, always aimed at middle level (kaunde) as the second kick right after the side checking kick, yopcha momchoogi, performed as a continuous pair. In movement 50 the left leg kicks while the hands hold a forearm guarding block, in movement 53 the right leg kicks.
