About
Suroh chagi, in English sweeping kick, is in ITF taekwondo a kick that, in all the tuls where we have documented it, is performed with the side sole of the foot (yop bal badak). The taekwondo.sk breakdown gives it in the tul Sam-Il under the full name yop bal badak suroh chagi, and in the tul Moon-Moo simply as suroh chagi. In the tul Sam-Il it is movement 16: according to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, a sweeping kick with the right side sole of the foot, after which the leg lands into a right fixed stance (gojung sogi) with a U-shaped block (digutja makgi). In the tul Moon-Moo it is movements 49 and 52, with the left and right leg; after the kick an L-stance (niunja sogi) forms with a middle guarding block with the forearm (palmok kaunde daebi makgi).
