About

Sonkal najunde bakuro makgi, in English knifehand low outward block, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a block with the knifehand (sonkal) at low level (najunde) directed outward (bakuro). The ITF Taekwon-Do Australia block overview lists it. From sonkal dung najunde anuro makgi it differs by name in both tool and direction: that one uses the reverse knifehand and moves inward. According to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, it is movement 41 of the tul Eui-Am, a block with the left knifehand while moving into a right L-stance (niunja sogi), and movements 9 and 20 of the tul Yon-Gae, performed in a walking stance (gunnun sogi). The Slovak breakdown taekwondo.sk records these movements with the addition bandae (reverse), in Yon-Gae as sonkal najunde bandae yop makgi.
