About
Sonkal dung kaunde hechyo makgi, literally middle wedging block with the reverse knifehand (in English reverse knife-hand middle wedging block), is in ITF Taekwon-Do a wedging block (hechyo makgi, in English wedging block) at middle level (kaunde), performed with the reverse knifehand (sonkal dung, in English reverse knifehand). It differs from the related sonkal kaunde hechyo makgi, which the block list of ITF Taekwon-Do Australia lists with the knifehand (sonkal), precisely in the striking surface. In the tul Sam-Il it is, according to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, movements 6 and 9, in both cases in a sitting stance (annun sogi): in movement 6 the right foot moves along line CD, in movement 9 the right foot steps forward. The Slovak breakdown taekwondo.sk records both movements as annun sogi sonkal dung kaunde hechyo makgi.
