About

Pyon joomuk nopunde jirugi, literally high punch with the open fist (in English open fist high punch), is in ITF Taekwon-Do a punch with the open fist (pyon joomuk) to the high section (nopunde). It differs from nopunde ap joomuk jirugi in the striking surface: there the fore fist (ap joomuk) strikes. In the tul Choong-Jang it is movements 50 and 52. Per the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, in movement 50 the punch is delivered with the right open fist while remaining in a left walking stance (gunnun sogi), in movement 52 with the left in a right one. The Slovak breakdown gives it in the full form gunnun sogi pyon joomuk nopunde bandae jirugi.
