About
Palmok daebi makgi, literally forearm guarding block (in English forearm guarding block), is in ITF Taekwon-Do a forearm block (palmok) that the Trident Taekwon-Do glossary places among the guarding blocks (daebi makgi, in English guarding block). The ITKD New Zealand technique manual lists it under this name; the block list of ITF Taekwon-Do Australia lists it in the form kaunde palmok daebi makgi, that is, at middle level. The dotaekwondo.net breakdown lists it in movements where the block is formed at the same time as a side kick: Sam-Il 23, Yoo-Sin 56 and 59, Choi-Yong 35 and 42 (always with a middle side piercing kick), Moon-Moo 50 (a middle side thrusting kick follows a side checking kick) and Tong-Il 54 (a high side piercing kick). The Slovak breakdown taekwondo.sk also records it in an L-stance (niunja sogi palmok kaunde daebi makgi), for example in movements 9 and 15 of the tul Choong-Jang.
