About
Opun sonkut nopunde anuro ghutgi, in English flat fingertip high inward cross-cut, is a cut with the flat fingertips (opun sonkut) directed inward at high level in ITF taekwondo; sonkut means fingertips, nopunde high level, anuro inward. It differs from the thrust gunnun so nopunde opun sonkut tulgi (high flat finger tip thrust), listed by the ITF Taekwon-Do Theory overview, only in the last word: ghutgi is a cut, tulgi a thrust. The Czech ITF Taekwon-Do Union gives the sequence narani so opun sonkut anuro ghutgi without a level marking. In the tul Juche it is, according to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, the 42nd movement: the practitioner cuts inward at high level with the right flat fingertips and takes the parallel stance (narani sogi) by drawing the right leg in. The Slovak breakdown calls this movement narani sogi opun sonkut nopunde anuro ghutgi.
