About
Mom dora deungjumeok chigi (English: Spinning Back Fist Strike) is a back-fist strike (deungjumeok) after a body turn; the Taekwondo Compendium (nbtkda.com) gives it as mom dora deung jumeok chigi for Taebaek. In its strike overview the same source lists a similar strike as dwi dora deung jumeok chigi. In Taebaek it appears once, in dwit kubi, after the thrust pyeonsonkkeut sewo jjireugi and a wrist release (palmok ppaegi). Per the Compendium, the practitioner turns 360° and strikes outward; the nulleo makgi hand does not move during the release, clenches during the turn and rises to the shoulder. Versus the outward strike in Taegeuk Chil Jang, the elbow tilts slightly down and aims at temple height.
