About
Moa sogi, in English close stance, is an ITF taekwondo stance with the feet together and touching. Per Mark Farnham Taekwondo, the weight is even on both legs. Performed facing forward (jon sin) or sideways (chuk myon); arm and hand positions are set by the tul. It differs from the attention stance charyot sogi, where the feet form a 45-degree angle, in that the feet are parallel and together. It appears in five ITF tuls: Toi-Gye (3rd, 6th, 12th), Kwang-Gae (12th, 16th, 20th), Po-Eun (15th, 33rd); also Hwa-Rang and Joong-Gun.
