About
Kyocha joomok najunde noollo makgi is, in ITF terminology, a low X-fist pressing block (X-fist low pressing block). The tool is kyocha joomok, crossed fists, and the level is najunde, the low level. According to the Taekwondo Fandom wiki, the pressing block in ITF is used only against a low attack, never against an attack to the middle or upper level. It should only catch the attack, not break the attacking leg. This distinguishes it from sonbadak ollyo makgi, which instead lifts the palm upward against an attack to the upper body. Olympic taekwondo (WT, Kukkiwon) knows a similar nulleo makgi, including a single-palm version, derived from a different technical line. In the tul Hwa-Rang it is the 24th movement, in Toi-Gye the 7th and 29th movement.
