About

Joongji joomuk nopunde jirugi is in ITF taekwondo a punch (jirugi) at the high level (nopunde), delivered with the middle-knuckle fist (joongji joomuk). From the fist with the extended index knuckle (inji joomuk), which the ITKD dictionary lists separately, it differs by the knuckle used. In the tul Choi-Yong it is, per the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, the 2nd and 4th movement. In the 2nd movement the left hand strikes while the practitioner holds a right back stance (dwitbal sogi), in the 4th movement the right hand in a left back stance. The Slovak ITF breakdown lists both movements as joongji joomuk nopunde bandae jirugi.
