About
Golcho chagi, literally hooking kick, is in ITF taekwondo a kick whose name is made up of the words golcho (hooking) and chagi (kick). The ITF Taekwon-Do Australia overview lists it as golcha chagi and names the back of the heel (dwitchook) as the striking surface; the New Zealand ITKD manual uses the form golcho chagi. From the reverse hooking kick, which the overview lists as bandae golcha chagi, it differs by the word bandae (reverse). In the tul Juche it is, per the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, the 7th and 19th movement. The breakdown describes it as a hooking kick to the middle level, after which the same leg immediately performs a high side piercing kick, while both fists are drawn back in front of the chest. The Slovak ITF breakdown lists this kick as kaunde golcho chagi.
