About

Gokaeng-i chagi, literally pick-shape kick, is in ITF Taekwondo a kick (chagi) that the ITKD technique manual lists under this name as pick shape kick. ITF Taekwondo terminology spells the name as gokgaeng-i chagi, and the tul breakdown on taekwondo.sk as gokaengi-i chagi. In the tul Juche it is movement 25, per the breakdowns of both dotaekwondo.net and taekwondo.sk. Dotaekwondo.net describes it as a pick-shape kick with the left leg, after which the foot is set down into a right back-leg stance (dwitbal sogi) while a middle guarding block with the forearm is performed at the same time.
