About

Ghin joomuk nopunde jirugi, in English long fist high punch, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a punch to high level (nopunde) with the long fist (ghin joomuk). Under this name it is given by the Irish Taekwon-Do Association black-belt grading requirements. How the long fist differs from an ordinary fist, we have not been able to document in the sources. In the tul Yon-Gae, per the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, these are movements 2 and 13: a high punch with the right, then left, long fist while turning into a walking stance (gunnun sogi), movement 13 slowly. The Slovak breakdown taekwondo.sk and the jirugi.se overview record these movements as ghin joomuk nopunde bandae jirugi, i.e. a reverse punch.
