About
Dung joomuk naeryo taerigi, in English back fist downward strike, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a downward strike (naeryo) with the back of the fist (dung joomuk). The Slovak breakdown taekwondo.sk and the Cardiff Martial Arts overview record it this way. From sondung naeryo taerigi it differs in tool: that strike uses the back of the hand (son dung). Per the dotaekwondo.net breakdowns, these are movements 6 and 18 of the tul Juche, 29 and 36 of the tul Yon-Gae, and 17 and 19 of the tul Tong-Il. In Juche and Yon-Gae the practitioner jumps into an X-stance (kyocha sogi); in Tong-Il the transition is a stamping step into an L-stance (niunja sogi).
