About

Du palgup yeop chigi (English: two-elbow side strike) is, in Kukkiwon terminology, a side strike with both elbows: du means two, palgup elbow, and terminology describes yeop chigi as a strike to a target standing to the side. Kukkiwon also gives a second name, meongae chigi (English: yoke strike), that is, a strike like a yoke; the Taekwondo Compendium lists it as myeongye chigi. In the poomsae Pyongwon it appears twice, and the Phoenix Taekwondo photo breakdown shows it both times in a crossed stance.
