About
Doo bandalson nopunde makgi is a high block in ITF taekwondo made with both hands shaped into an arc. The tool bandalson is called arc-hand in English terminology, and doo means double; the United ITF Australia glossary lists the technique as double arc hand high block. It differs from the single-hand bandalson makgi in that both hands work at once. According to taekwondo.fandom.com, Olympic WT taekwondo has no equivalent of the arc-hand block, and it is a technique unique to ITF. In the ITF tul Ge-Baek it is the 7th and 25th movement: the block is performed in the left, respectively right, gunnun sogi stance, with the practitioner looking through it.
