About
Digutja japgi makgi is a two-handed grasp in ITF taekwondo that traps an attack in a U shape (digutja). The United ITF Australia glossary lists it as U shape grasping block; the tul Po-Eun description on dotaekwondo.net shortens it to U-shape grasp. Per itftkdtheory.com, it differs from digutja makgi, a U-shaped block, in the word japgi, meaning grasp or clamp: not a pure block, but a technique that catches and clamps the attack. In the ITF tul Po-Eun it is the 14th and 32nd movement; the 14th is performed in the right niunja sogi stance.
