About
Bakat palmok naeryo makgi, literally outer forearm downward block, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a block with the outer side of the forearm (bakat palmok) directed downward (naeryo). The block list of ITF Taekwon-Do Australia lists it alongside the low block najunde bakat palmok makgi; it is distinguished from it in name by the direction naeryo instead of the level najunde. In the tul Juche it is, according to the dotaekwondo.net breakdown, movements 33 and 35. In movement 33 the left foot moves sideways behind the right, the practitioner slides into a right L-stance (niunja sogi) and blocks downward with the left outer forearm; movement 35 is the mirror image, with the right forearm in a left L-stance. The Slovak breakdown taekwondo.sk records both movements as niunja sogi bakat palmok bandae naeryo makgi, that is, with the marker bandae (reverse).
