About
Apbal ap chagi (English: front foot front kick) is the front kick ap chagi performed with the front foot (apbal). Kukkiwon terminology describes ap chagi as a kick to a target in front of the practitioner; it uses the word apbal for the front foot in names such as apbal bada chagi or apbal huryeo chagi. In the poomsae Taegeuk Pal Jang it appears twice, both times from the tiger stance beom seogi. The Taekwondo Compendium lists it as ap bal ap chagi and notes that the front foot's heel must not drop to the mat between the kick and the tiger stance.
