About
An palmok yop makgi, literally inner forearm side block, is in ITF Taekwon-Do a block with the inner side of the forearm (an palmok) against an attack led from the side; it protects the trunk. In the grading syllabus of the New Zealand club Tiger Taekwon-Do it belongs to white belt level (10th gup). It differs from bakat palmok yop makgi in the side of the forearm used, which blocks with the outer side. Also different is the variant nopunde an palmok yop ap makgi, which combines the side and front direction at the high level. In the tul Yul-Gok (ITF) it is the 7th and 11th movement, performed, according to the Kildare Taekwondo breakdown, from a walking stance.
