About

An palmok hecheo makgi, literally opening block with the inner wrist (in English Inside Wrist Scattered Block), is a two-arm WT taekwondo block. The Kukkiwon terminology dictionary explains hecheo makgi as a block in which both wrists cross and then spread to the sides, and anpalmok as the inner edge of the wrist. The Taekwondo Compendium lists it for the poomsae Keumgang under the spelling an palmok hechyeo makgi (Inner Forearm Opening Block) and notes that the arms move double-outward, not double-forward. Per the Phoenix Taekwondo photo breakdown it appears three times in Keumgang: at the opening in ap gubi and twice in juchum seogi.
