This ladder is not yet attributed to a specific organisation. Federations differ in belt colours and time requirements.

Systema ROSS (Russian Domestic Self-Defense System), developed by General Alexander Retuinskih in Russia, is a scientific combat system based on physics, mechanics, and Sambo grappling. The 6-level hierarchy evaluates biomechanical wave leverage, muscle relaxation, knife and firearm disarming, and crisis survival.

Level 1 – Biomechanics & Relaxation

Typical gap since previous grade: 3 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Basic biomechanical wave levers, tension release, and safe falls in Systema ROSS.

Symbolism & Meaning

Russian national system developed by Alexander Retuinskikh approved by Russian Federation.

Level 2 – Applied Combatives

Typical gap since previous grade: 9 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Off-balancing attacker's axis, heavy relaxed punches, and close-range knife disarms.

Symbolism & Meaning

Utilizing opponent's kinetic strike energy for instant takedown.

3rd Level – ROSS Specialist

Typical gap since previous grade: 18 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Firearm defense, confined space combat, and entrenching shovel (Saperka) drills.

Tactical preparation for military and law enforcement in crisis.

4th Level – Certified ROSS Instructor
