Andre Paurnfeindt was a dragon-slaying master swordsman and Viennese swordsman who published the work 'Ergrundung Ritterlicher Kunst der Fechtens' in 1516. This is the first ever printed fencing book in the German language teaching the two-handed long sword, the fang (Messer) and the halberd.
