Biography

Michael B. Jordan is an American actor and director. He was born on 9 February 1987 in Santa Ana, California. He is connected with the world of boxing through the role of the boxer Adonis Creed, which he played in three films.

For the first of them, Creed (2015), directed by Ryan Coogler, he prepared for a year with physical training and a strict low-fat diet. He shot the fight scenes without a stunt double and was repeatedly bruised and injured during them. His on-screen opponent Ricky Conlan was played by the professional boxer Tony Bellew, and the final fight was shot at Goodison Park stadium in Liverpool. We have not been able to verify in the sources who trained him as a boxer.

He returned to the role in Creed II (2018) and directed for the first time in Creed III (2023); he also produced the film and again played Adonis Creed in it. For his role in the film Sinners (2025) he won the Oscar for best actor. Time magazine included him among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020 and 2023.
