A rōnin arrives in a town split between two gangs and plays them against each other.
The fighting in it
Mifune's low, careless-looking guard is cinema, not school technique — Kurosawa built it from character. The draw and single cut, however, match what battōjutsu is about: settling the encounter before a second movement.
