This ladder is not yet attributed to a specific organisation. Federations differ in belt colours and time requirements.

Wado-ryu Karate, created by Hironori Otsuka in 1934, merges Okinawan Karate with Shindo Yoshin-ryu Jujutsu evasions and joint locks. The 10th Kyu to 10th Dan cascade measures mastery of the Wa (harmony) principle—Taisabaki body shifting, fluid parrying without brute force, and simultaneous block-and-strike counters.
