Definition
The Ezekiel choke is a highly effective choke traditionally performed using one's own gi sleeve. The practitioner slides one arm behind the opponent's neck, grips their own sleeve with the other hand, and then compresses the throat with the forearm or fist. It can be applied successfully even from disadvantageous positions, such as inside the opponent's guard, but is most commonly used from full mount. A no-gi variant also exists, using a grip on one's own forearm instead of the sleeve.
