This ladder is not yet attributed to a specific organisation. Federations differ in belt colours and time requirements.

Pachi Tanglangquan, developed by Grandmaster Liu Yunqiao in Taiwan, integrates the close-range explosive power of Bajiquan (Pachi) with the swift trapping and footwork of Praying Mantis (Tanglangquan). The Duanwei system (1st to 6th Duan) evaluates Mabu stamping, elbow strikes, wrist trapping, and forms.

1st Duan – Green Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 6 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Basic Mabu stance, explosive Bajiquan stomping, and fast Tanglangquan hands.

Symbolism & Meaning

Fusion of two famous Chinese wushu styles – crushing Bajiquan & agile Mantis.

2nd Duan – Blue Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 12 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Pachi Tanglang form, short-range elbow strikes, and sticky palm techniques.

Symbolism & Meaning

Deepening the principle "Crushing bones up close and taking balance".

3rd Duan – Silver Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 18 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Liu He Da Qiang big spear training, Tanglang Dao saber, and paired sparring.

Symbolism & Meaning

Connecting heavy weapon formations with the agility of mantis hands.

4th Duan – Black Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 24 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Destructive Tie Shan Kao shoulder strikes, Chin Na locks, and Sanda sparring.

Symbolism & Meaning

High degree of uncompromising combat efficacy derived from Taiwanese lineage.

5th Duan – Gold Level (Sifu)

Typical gap since previous grade: 36 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Awarding Sifu title. Running Kwoon, transmitting Su Yu-Chang & Liu Yun-Qiao legacy.

Symbolism & Meaning

Sifu = Official teacher and guarantor of Pachi Tanglangquan synthesis.

6th Duan – Gold Dragon (Grandmaster)

Typical gap since previous grade: 60 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Highest achievable rank. Living legend and global lineage authority.

Symbolism & Meaning

Grandmaster = Supreme spiritual and technical authority of Pachi Tanglangquan.
