Sibpalgi (18 Martial Arts / 18 Weapons), codified in the Korean military manual Muyesinbo in 1759 under King Yeongjo of Joseon, is the national armed combat system. The complete hierarchy of 10 student Gups and 4 master Dans (Chodan to Sabomnim) evaluates two-handed Ssangsu-do sword, long Jangchang spear, Woldo moon-halberd, shield, and Kwonbeop empty-hand combat.
