This ladder is not yet attributed to a specific organisation. Federations differ in belt colours and time requirements.

Baoding Shuai Jiao (Kuai Jiao / Fast Wrestling), developed in Hebei province, combines traditional Chinese short-sleeved jacket (Bao Yi) wrestling with high-speed joint locks and strikes. The Duanwei system (1st to 6th Duan) evaluates rapid Kua Tui hip throws, Tou Tui leg sweeps, wrist locks, and instant takedowns.

1st Duan – Green Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 6 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Bao Yi jacket grips, rapid Tou Tui leg trips, and basic Baoding Kuai Jiao wrestling.

Symbolism & Meaning

Baoding branch of Shuai Jiao famous for lightning-fast throws at first contact.

2nd Duan – Blue Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 12 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Kua Tui hip throws, rapid belt takedowns, and evading opponent's jacket grips.

Symbolism & Meaning

Deepening explosive torso power and balance control without falling to the ground.

3rd Duan – Silver Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 18 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Gua Tui combinations, counter-throws against attacks, and arena free wrestling.

Symbolism & Meaning

In Baoding Shuai Jiao the goal is to throw the opponent while remaining standing.

4th Duan – Black Level

Typical gap since previous grade: 24 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Integrating fast Kuai Jiao wrestling with Sanda strikes & kicks in full contact.

Symbolism & Meaning

High level of tactical maturity in Chinese national wrestling leagues.

5th Duan – Gold Level (Sifu)

Typical gap since previous grade: 36 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Awarding Sifu title. Running a school, teaching Bao Yi grips, & refereeing.

Symbolism & Meaning

Sifu = Certified instructor of the Chinese National Wrestling Association.

6th Duan – Gold Dragon (Grandmaster)

Typical gap since previous grade: 60 monthsestimate

Requirements & Focus

Highest achievable rank. Living legend and supreme Baoding wrestling grandmaster.

Symbolism & Meaning

Grandmaster = Direct guardian and bearer of the Kuai Jiao fast wrestling legacy.
